Consistency is all that matter..here at The General PT in Huntsville TX

Happy Hump Day Y’all!!

Today, let’s discuss the purpose behind our cycles and the importance of the cycles that REALLY matter.

Purpose behind current physical/gym cycle:
  1. Open Prep
Purpose of previous physical/ gym cycle (for reference reasons):
  1. Strength
  2. Skill Oriented
  3. Conditioning
  4. Basics/ Foundational
Purpose behind current life/health cycle:
  1. Consistency
Let’s focus our cycle into something that does not require skill, strength, or much effort at all. Simply, being consistent with our actions, with what we choose to eat, when we choose to sleep, and how often we choose to come to the gym. We want to help you make The General Performance Training a place for an hour of freedom, community, hard work that pays off, or that “me time” that you need each day. By becoming more consistent, you become more successful, you will start to reap the benefits that you thought you should have gained during your period of less consistency. When I say “be more consistent”, that doesn’t mean that you have to completely flip your world upside down by going vegan, and coming to The General every day, twice a day, or not having any friends or fun. All I want you to do, is make one small change to add more consistency into your schedule for your own health. For example, if you currently come to The General 3 times/ week, that’s roughly 12 workouts in the month. I challenge you to add just ONE day to your weekly attendance, putting you at 16 visits to the gym. Think of it this way, in our 5 day class week, not including our Saturday class, each day you come is worth 20% of your workload for the week, so adding just one more day to your workload will add 20% to your fitness and health. Who wouldn’t want 20% MORE of something, e.g., money, time, food, sleep, weight loss, muscle, happiness. By doing something as simple as adding one day to your schedule you can accomplish so much more than you even know you are capable of, it’s not just one day, it’s 20% more effort towards your journey!

I challenge you to first, focus on consistency, not strength, not skill, not your metcon time, solely becoming more consistent in the gym, your nutrition, and your life.

Look at it as simple as this: show up consistently + work harder than you think you can = earn the gains!

Who will add that extra day to their schedule?! The benefits are calling your name!
